Donation quilts are constructed, as a group project, once a year after a guild meeting. We call it a "Quilt-a-thon" and we sew quilt tops, layer and baste quilts, turn them inside-out so no binding is required, and quilt or tie the quilts. In addition, donation quilts may be made at home and brought to guild meetings. The donation quilt coordinator delivers all donated items to Carriage Town, Flint Crisis Pregnancy Center, Humane Society of Genesee County, Hurley Medical Center and/or The Shelter of Flint.
1017 items were created and donated in 2017.

Volunteer positions and/or duties that are available:
Lecturer or teacher: Each year the guild schedules two programs that our members present. One is a trunk show and the other is a mini-workshop. We need volunteers to provide these programs. If you are willing to present one of these programs or know of another member who would, contact Sue Matlock. If you have an idea and are interested in scheduling a class, Sue will work with you on the details.
